What is the Thrive for Life Program?

Many of our clients who choose to join the Thrive for Life program are “graduates” of our physical therapy treatment programs. After completing the recommended course of physical therapy, they choose to continue working with a physical therapist who will guide their personalized exercise and fitness program that can be easily incorporated into daily routines. In addition to fitness and exercise tips, we may also provide feedback and recommendations for basics of nutrition, hydration, and sleep to stay healthy and thriving.

Where do We Hold Thrive for Life Sessions?

Like our physical therapy sessions, Thrive for Life programs are completely customizable to your needs. We come to your home, office, local park or walking trail, fitness center, or other locations that are comfortable for you. It’s important to us that our clients be able to continue their fitness and health plans even when we’re not around, so don’t hesitate to talk about exercise and movement ideas that make sense in your life. If you like to go for walks, let’s find the safest and most effective places for you to make the most of your daily walk. If you enjoy golfing, swimming, tennis, or dance, let’s talk about incorporating these activities as well. You’re more likely to stay consistently active when you’re doing things you love to do, so let’s create a plan that works for you.

What Happens During Thrive for Life Senior Wellness Sessions?

Each session may be a little different. During your first Thrive for Life session, your physical therapist will review your current fitness and health levels and discuss your goals for increased movement and improved health. Then, we’ll create a personalized program to take the steps from where you are now to where you want to be. This may include finding minimal impact cardiovascular exercises that improve mobility, range of motion, and general health. We’ll also discuss how your daily exercise can benefit other aspects of your life, including sleeping more soundly, reducing stress, and increasing general happiness. After all, our main goal is helping you find ways to keep doing the things you love at any age, so let’s work together to keep you happy, healthy, and moving.
